Applicable oil types

The type of oil to be added to the car washing machine needs to be selected according to the characteristics of the equipment, and there are several common types:

30 # engine oil

High pressure cleaning machine water pump is commonly used, with a kinematic viscosity of 27-33mm2/s at 50 ℃, a pour point of -10 ℃, a flash point of 180 ℃, and can provide basic lubrication

Automobile engine oil/diesel engine oil

The type of fuel determines the oil used. Car washing machines that burn gasoline add gasoline engine oil, while those that burn diesel add diesel engine oil.

gear oil

Some 55 type car washing machine pump heads are available, but their suitability needs to be confirmed based on the equipment specifications.

special hydraulic oil

High pressure (over 30 kg) car washing machines require anti-wear hydraulic oils such as No. 46 and No. 68, which have high compression resistance, anti-wear, and high temperature resistance characteristics.

Selection criteria (viscosity and high temperature resistance)

The oil performance needs to match the working requirements of the car wash machine, with a focus on two indicators:

viscosity
Low pressure environment (ordinary household) can choose 30 # engine oil (viscosity 27-33mm/s at 50 ℃), providing basic lubrication; High pressure environments (commercial or over 30 kg) require hydraulic oil with a viscosity of 46-68 to ensure stable lubrication under high pressure

high temperature resistance

The working temperature of the pump head is high, and the oil needs to maintain viscosity at high temperatures to prevent thinning and avoid component wear caused by lubrication failure, thus extending the service life of the equipment.

Precautions (avoid using incorrect oil)

Avoid ordinary car oil: Ordinary car oil may not meet the anti-wear and high-temperature resistance requirements of high-pressure car washing machines, especially for equipment with a pressure exceeding 30 kilograms that requires specialized hydraulic oil.

Motor direct drive without oil: Some car washing machines are directly driven by motors and do not require additional oil filling. The equipment type needs to be confirmed before use.

Regular replacement: For household use (1-2 times a week), it is recommended to change the oil for the first time every 2-3 months, and then once a year thereafter; For commercial use (20-30 units per day), the oil should be changed for the first 15-20 days and then every six months to avoid the accumulation of metal debris.

Follow the manufacturer’s recommendation: Different models of car washing machines may have different requirements for oil products. Please refer to the equipment manual or manufacturer’s recommendations first.
